I feel honored and privileged to write a recommendation for Dr. Renee Mehrra. I first met Renee over 30 years ago. She was a rising star in our south Asian American community. It amazed me then, and even today, how a super star– young, smart and very caring deals with people from all walks of life. My first meeting with her was at an event where she was the Emcee. It was a crowd of over 1000 people and she was to Introduce me to the crowd as one of the honorees for that evening. I told her that my English was not good, and I was unable to make my award acceptance speech. Right then she put me at ease, and I can never forget her caring, “no worries” attitude. Through the years her hard hitting broadcast journalism which she delivers with honesty, integrity and accuracy, her selfless community service, and leadership qualities has made her an endearing figure in the South Asian community.
She is my smart sister from a different mother with a heart of gold. All these many years it’s her great character that makes her stand out, and how she makes every person she meets so very special. God bless you dear sister, peoples’ lives are rich because of your friendship. I know my life is rich because of your honest leadership and friendship.
